Frédéric Bourret décide de se mettre en scène. Nu. Pas une nudité gratuite, comme une envie ringarde de choquer le bourgeois ou l'aveu déguisé d'absence de sens. Non, Frédéric Bourret se présente devant nous sans fard, comme le premier homme de la création. Or l'artiste est le créateur de son œuvre.
La démarche du photographe est plus universelle : parce que l'artiste est homme, il représente toute l'humanité et parce qu'il est créateur, il contient toute la spiritualité. Dieu, l'artiste et l'homme ne font qu'un. Et nous sommes tous cet être complet. Ou plus justement, nous l'étions tous.
La série Missing interpelle sur la perte des fondamentaux. Avons-nous perdu notre liberté originelle ? En se mettant en scène dans des activités quotidiennes, affranchi de tout vêtement, le photographe souligne nos habitudes de consommation qui prennent une autre dimension. Il est surprenant de voir à quel point la simple nudité rend incongrue des situations complètement banales.
L'œuvre finale est un avis de recherche en clin d'œil. Car si Frédéric Bourret est le personnage de la série, il est également celui que l'on recherche. Est-ce l'artiste qui se cherche, ou le monde qui recherche l'artiste ? Vaste débat !

The series of photographs entitled 'Missing' questions us on the loss of fundamentals. Have we lost our initial freedom?
