Après deux ouvrages tournés vers la photo urbaine — Réflexions New Yorkaises puis Ame urbaine — Frédéric Bourret revient avec un livre bien différent : À découvert, un double regard nous propose une réflexion et des images autour de la femme, de la sensualité et de la nudité, mais aussi de la douceur et de l'instinct maternel.
Après une introduction du sociologue A. Mahé autour de la notion de féminité, maternité et nudité, le photographe nous invite à découvrir sa vision de la femme à travers 35 clichés en noir et blanc où la femme s'expose entre innocence et séduction, pudeur et envie.
Toutes les images trahissent la volonté de l'artiste de montrer la femme et sa sensualité sous l'angle le plus naturel possible, sans artifice, et souvent dans un cadre de vie quotidienne.
After two works dedicated to urban photography — Réflexions New Yorkaises and Ame urbaine — Frédéric Bourret returns with a significantly different book: À découvert (Unveiled), a dual perspective offering reflections and images revolving around women, sensuality, nudity, as well as tenderness and maternal instinct.
Following an introduction by sociologist A. Mahé about femininity, maternity, and nudity, the photographer invites us to explore his vision through 35 black-and-white photographs where women are captured between innocence and seduction, modesty and desire.
All images reveal the artist's intention to showcase women and their sensuality in the most natural way possible, without artifice, often in the context of everyday life.
继两部聚焦城市摄影的作品——《纽约沉思》和《城市灵魂》——之后，弗雷德里克·布雷带来了一部截然不同的书：《坦然裸露》，以双重视角围绕女性、感性、裸体以及温柔与母性本能展开思考与影像。

Encore une fois, Frédéric nous livre une œuvre aboutie mais intime, qui offre un regard différent sur la femme. La deuxième partie se démarque par son fond noir mais surtout par son approche : pour chaque photo, deux personnes, un homme et une femme, proposent leur interprétations de l'image. Photographe, peintre, critique, écrivain… tous écrivent avec une approche différente. Cela apporte une autre dimension au livre et aux photos, et donne le sentiment de débattre de sa propre compréhension de l'image avec ces deux autres personnes.
De manière plus transversale, toutes les images trahissent la volonté de l'artiste de montrer la femme et sa sensualité sous l'angle le plus naturel possible, sans artifice, et souvent dans un cadre de vie quotidienne. C'est personnellement ce qui m'a le plus touché, en particulier pour certaines photos analysées par deux artistes : j'ai retrouvé dans leurs mots ce que je n'arrivais pas moi même à exprimer.
Once again, Frédéric delivers a well-crafted yet intimate work that offers a different perspective on women. The central second part distinguishes itself with its black background but, more importantly, its approach: for each photo, two individuals, one man and one woman, offer their interpretations. Photographer, painter, critic, writer… each person writes with a different perspective, creating the feeling of debating one's own understanding of the image with these two other individuals.
On a more overarching level, all the images reveal the artist's intention to showcase women and their sensuality in the most natural way possible, without artifice, often in the context of everyday life. This is personally what touched me the most, especially for some photos analyzed by two artists: I found in their words what I couldn't express on my own.
